
About Sheriff Tom Bosenko?
Sheriff Bosenko has over 27 years of active, progressive participation and experience with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office. Prior to his election he was the Patrol Division Captain. His duties included: planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating division activities. Division activities included: patrol operations, school resource officers (Youth Services), D.A.R.E., S.W.A.T., Shasta Anti-Gang Enforcement (SAGE), Safe Streets detail, and K-9 Unit. As a lieutenant, he commanded the South County/Anderson Patrol Station (largest in the Sheriff's Office) with 26 employees and supervisors. He oversaw the Youth Services Unit and supervised the development of the Safe School Initiative. He also assisted in the development of the Sheriff's Office Community Safety Plan. As a sergeant, Tom had several assignments which provided development and diversity in preparation for future positions. In addition to patrol operations, he supervised in jail operations and the Community Oriented Police Problem Solving (COPPS) Unit. As administrative sergeant working directly for the sheriff and undersheriff, he developed policies and procedures, conducted research, and investigated personnel matters. Tom has served as a S.W.A.T. member and team leader, dive team member, field training officer (FTO), and K-9 Unit coordinator and handler.
Tom received his bachelor of science degree in Criminology from California State University Fresno in 2000, graduating with high honors. He attended the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy in 2001. His academic emphasis at the academy was leadership and organizational management. He completed the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Law Enforcement Command College in 2004. The program focused on organizational leadership skills, knowledge needed to anticipate and prepare for the future, and strategic planning. As a sergeant, Tom completed the POST Supervisory Leadership Institute. He completed the POST Basic Law Enforcement Academy in 1979 and received his associate of arts degree in Administration of Justice from Shasta College in 1978. Tom has earned over 2,500 hours of training from POST and other providers throughout his career. A lifelong learner, he continues with his training and education.

About Undersheriff Greg Wrigley-
Undersheriff Greg Wrigley has nearly 26 years of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience. Undersheriff Wrigley started his law enforcement career as a Law Enforcement Ranger with the Whiskeytown Unit of the National Parks Service. He started his career with the Sheriff's Office in the jail. As a jail deputy, he served on the transition team for the new jail, developing policies and procedures that are in place to this date.
Undersheriff Wrigley served in the various patrol stations throughout Redding area. He has served as firearms instructor, baton instructor, dive team member, K-9 officer, and self- defense instructor. As a sergeant, Undersheriff Wrigley was a patrol supervisor for the Burney Station. His ethical leadership, team building philosophies, and community orientation has helped make the Burney Station the excellent station it is today. Undersheriff Wrigley is one of the original SWAT team members and served on the team for 23 years. He served as the SWAT commander for 5 years and is considered one of the finest tacticians in the Sheriff's Office.
Undersheriff Wrigley received an Associate of Arts Degree in Fire Science from the Los Angeles College in 1978. He graduated from the NPS Academy in 1979 and the POST Basic Academy in 1980. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2003. His academic emphasis at the academy was on community policing and problem solving. Undersheriff Wrigley holds a basic, intermediate, advanced, supervisory, and management certificate from POST and has had well over 2,600 hours of training. He has contributed his expertise in policies and procedures by authoring numerous projects. Some of his accomplishments were; designing and implementing the Citizens Patrol and Citizens Patrol Academy, member of the Strategic Planning Committee, chairman of the Sheriff's Office Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Committee, project director and author of the Community Safety Plan, and author of the current Patrol Standards.
Undersheriff Wrigley is a firm believer that law enforcement officers should be involved in the communities they service. As such, he is a member of the Burney Rotary, the Sheriff's Office Eastern Flying Posse, President of the Tri Counties Community Network, and has served on the Intermountain Action Growth and Education group (IMAGE) and the Intermountain Area Domestic Violence Coordinating Council.
